Here are some thoughts on yesterday’s Civil War football game game:
Some people may try and convince you one or both of these teams are “good” but both are very mediocre in my opinion and certainly far from “elite.” Whether we as fans want to admit that or not is a different story…the truth hurts. If the Ducks prevail in the Holiday Bowl or the Beavers...

GameDay going to Bedlam, not the Civil War?
College GameDay is apparently going to Stillwater, OK for the OU/OSU game instead of coming out west to Corvallis for the Civil War. Obviously this doesn’t affect how big this game is to Oregon State and Oregon fans but it is a nice exclamation point to put on a big game. Here are the reasons they aren’t coming:

Making bowl predictions is mentally draining (and fun) but this is an OK look. I will say though, Arizona can’t get to the Holiday. I agree in that a rematch of either Penn. St./Oregon State or Ohio State/USC would be terrible. The best scenario for the Pac-10 is for Oregon State to play Ohio State in the Rose Bowl (Michigan State beating Penn St. in the season finale), leaving the Trojans free for a big match-up between an SEC or Big-12 team.
