There’s been a TON of talk (again) of forming a playoff system in college football. I’m working on a complete run down of each option but will wait until after all of the regular season games are finished. Why? Almost every argument I’ve heard for a playoff begins with “what if…” Remember, LSU was ranked 7th going into the final regular season weekend last year. Before last week everyone was what ifing about 3 unbeatens and that’s already taken care of. I would bet money that there is not one unbeaten at the end of the year. The moral is just win the games…just-win-the-games.
So, for now, let’s just enjoy all of the great games we have left and i’ll throw together a comprehensive look at what the different playoff systems would look like at the end of the year, looking at the pros and cons of each.
