CFB: "Bye Week Wisdom"
Lots of chatter lately about how bye weeks affect college football teams. This article breaks down some of the games affected by byes lately. I think a team who a) has good coaches and b) is banged up will always benefit from a bye as long as they are at least within range of the opponent talent-wise. Personally I’d like to see the known big games (rivalries mostly) give both teams the same time to prepare whether it involves a bye or not. Obviously scheduling is not as cut and dry as fans would like to think but the athletic directors could probably pull a few strings each year.
